Russell Brand took over Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack and caused a commotion.
The TV presenter set up a fake security breach and sent an actor playing a cameraman storming into the house, telling housemates he'd had an argument with producers over working conditions.
The scared housemates were confined to the bedroom where they watched Russell, 32, enter the house with 2 security guards to remove the ‘cameraman’ who refused to move.
Russell later admitted to the housemates it was a hoax and was part of a task to see how they coped under pressure. He said they passed and rewarded them a luxury food budget.
Housemates thought Scottish politician John, 20, was in on the joke because he'd tricked them on Day 1 - and he was upset that they thought this.
Russell later apologised to him saying, ‘I’m pleased that it (the task) has worked out but not pleased that it has upset you.'
During his time as the hijacker, Russell also flirted with the girls, showering Amy, 21, with cake and flowers and banishing Jeremy, 19, to the bathroom while making him wear socks on his hands.
'All my demands were met,' says Russell. 'I’ve had a whale of a time.’
