Amy Winehouse duets with dad

Singer has been getting her voice back in shape with Mitch Winehouse’s help

Amy Winehouse has been singing with her dad to help get her stage confidence back.

The singer, 24, is said to have spent hours crooning with Mitch Winehouse, 57, to make sure that she’s prepared for the Grammys on 10 February.

‘Amy had her fair share of troubles in 2007,’ says a source. ‘But her little parties at home have given her quite a boost. She often has mates round for drinks and inevitably most of the time she ends up singing.

‘One night Mitch joined in and Amy loved it. They had a great giggle and it really made her feel good about herself so Mitch wants to repeat the experience as often as possible.’

Amy has reportedly been invited to perform at the Grammys and at the Brit Awards.

Mitch is keeping his fingers crossed that the shows will help her kick start the year in a promising way.

‘Amy is settling back into London life after her trip to Mustique but Mitch hopes she can keep in high spirits,’ the source tells the Daily Star.

‘With the right preparation she should be able to light up the forthcoming award ceremonies with her stunning voice and remind people what she does best.’
