Is Sugababe Amelle Berrabah's life now in danger?

After Freddie Fuller was nearly killed, the star now fears for her own safety

A horrific machete attack last month left Amelle’s boyfriend Freddie Fuller, 25, fighting for his life. And now Amelle’s terrified that she could be next.

Freddie lost four pints of blood in the attack, which took place outside a pub in Aldershot on Christmas Eve. His left arm and right thumb were left hanging off and he had huge gashes in his skull.

Freddie said: ‘The doctors have told me that I’m lucky to be alive. I really thought, as the machete kept coming at me: “This blow will cut me in half….”’

He was rushed to hospital, where a distraught Amelle, 23, has been loyally by his side ever since.

The attack is being blamed on a bitter local feud and now Amelle’s worried that she could be the next victim.

Police have warned that Freddie’s friends could try to get revenge and violence in the area will escalate.

A friend tells Now: ‘She’s really terrified. Freddie could’ve died and Amelle believes she could be next. They both still live in Aldershot, close to where it happened, and her high-profile position in the band means she could be made a target.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has since been released on police bail.
