David Beckham buys iPhone for Brooklyn

8-year-old gets latest gadget for Christmas

David Beckham has splashed out on the latest must-have gadget for his son Brooklyn – an iPhone.

The 8-year-old was treated to the mobile for Christmas and will be able to the surf the web, chat to pals and even use it as an iPod to play the latest tunes.

But while some might think the £269 device is a bit over-indulgent for a kid – Posh and Becks thought it would come in handy.

‘David and Victoria are aware that Brooklyn is very young to have a mobile,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘But they thought it would be a good idea so he could call them whenever he needed.

‘Brooklyn is very switched on with computers and gadgets. He set his heart on the iPhone when he saw it on TV in America.’

Meanwhile, talking of extravagant celebs, WAG Coleen McLoughlin has splashed out on a £4,000 egg-shaped flotation tank to help her unwind after a stressful day on Oxford Street.
