Kerry Katona has not been dropped by Iceland, says PR guru Max Clifford.
It's been reported that the ex-Atomic Kitten singer, 27, won’t have her 6-figure contract renewed when it expires in March.
Iceland’s marketing director Nick Canning confirms that Kerry’s position is uncertain.
‘It is clear we have been hiring different staff including Jason Donovan and Coleen Nolan over Christmas,’ he says. ‘I'm not sure what contract we will be able to offer.’
Iceland bosses are said to be concerned that controversy surrounding the pregnant star – including her decision to smoke while pregnant – will put their shoppers off visiting their stores.
‘As far as I am aware Kerry is not being axed,’ Max Clifford tells the Daily Mirror. ‘She has one more ad to shoot and then I'm having talks with Iceland.’
Kerry won’t be off our screens, though. She is currently filming an MTV fly-on-the-wall documentary, which is due to air next month.
