Kerry Katona: My mum-in-law slapped me round the face

Pregnant star admits she'd had 2 glasses of bubbly herself - and is still smoking

Kerry Katona claims her mother-in-law Marilyn Croft, 59, slapped her round the face in a row on New Year's Eve.

The singer, who is expecting her 4th child in April, was petrified the shock would harm her unborn baby.

'I had nearly miscarried this child early in my pregnancy and I'm still terrified of losing it,' says Kerry, 27.

'I've got to have a scan on Tuesday and I hope that sets my mind at rest.'

Last year was not a good one for Kerry. She was robbed at home by masked gunman and reports allege she owes the tax man £1million.

'Sometimes my life feels like an episode of Shameless,' she tells The People. 'New Year's Eve was a classic.'

Kerry and husband Mark are currently being filmed for a fly-on-wall MTV documentary called Kerry Katona - Crazy in Love.

The pregnant star is still smoking and knows she will be slated for her irresponsibility.

'But I only have about five a day if I'm feeling stressed,' she insists. 'They'll say I'm drinking and doing drugs too - all bollocks.

'I had two glasses of champagne at New Year but I've had nothing else to drink.

'It doesn't matter what I say though - someone will claim I'm necking vodka and doing coke.'
