Did Britney Spears' cousin have to smash down door with hammer?

Reports claim Alli Sims forced her way into bathroom

Britney Spears is being held in a '72-hour mental lockdown' - also known as a '5150 hold'.

This is used in the US 'When any person, as a result of mental disorder, is a danger to others, or to himself or herself, or gravely disabled.'

The mum-of-two, 26, refused to return her sons to Kevin Federline's care after they visited her home on Thursday and police had to intervene.

Britney was allegedly drinking vodka before she barricaded herself inside a bathroom with the boys.

Cousin and former PA Alli Sims smashed the bathroom door open shortly after 10pm, sources told Pagesix. But Alli says she wasn't at the scene.

'I absolutely was not there,' she tells Usmagazine.com. 'And even if I was there I would not have banged down the door with a hammer, that's not my style. I would have knocked!'

Britney was strapped to a stretcher and taken to hospital, followed by paparazzi, a convoy of squad cars and media helicopters.

Hospital sources are reported to have confirmed that she tested negative for illegal drugs but it has been suggested that Britney's behaviour was triggered by missing a dose of prescribed medication.
