Actor to retake vows on return to US

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds 'married' on a private island off Polynesia's Bora Bora on New Year's Day - but the ceremony was just a 'spiritual binding' it now transpires.

Eddie, 46, and Tracey, 40, will need to formally legalise their union when they get back to America.

'As is typical when couples get married in foreign countries, a legal ceremony will take place when they return to the US,' Tracey's spokeman tells People.com

'The wedding that took place in Bora Bora was a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracy spiritually in the presence of family and friends.

'The couple plan a legal ceremony as soon as they return to the States.'
