Actress says it's harder to give us vices in the cold and dark
Wednesday, 2 January 2008
Billie Piper has revealed she doesn't make New Year resolutions because it's so difficult to keep them.
The actress, 25 who married actor Laurence Fox on New Year's Eve - says the mid-winter blues make it impossible to stay away from her vices.
'January is cold, dark and miserable - just the time when you need your comforts,' says Billie. 'It's at this time of year you want to smoke, drink and eat everything.'
Billie also says she hopes troubled singer Amy Winehouse, 24, will make a new start in 2008.
'I was at Sylvia Young's Theatre School in London with Amy Winehouse and she was a friend,' she tells the Daily Express.
'I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to give her advice as she battles her demons, she has to work things out for herself. But I hope she has people around her who take care of her.'
