X Factor star cancels all appearances for next 2 weeks

Leon Jackson is struggling to hold it together after winning The X Factor last month.

The singer has been diagnosed with tonsillitis following 2 weeks of non-stop performances and has cancelled all his appearances over the next 14 days.

The 19-year-old was due to perform in Edinburgh's Princes Street during the Hogmanay celebrations on Monday but pulled out shortly before the show.

'I'm just disappointed to be letting people down,' he tells The Sun, 'but it wouldn't feel nice to get on stage and not be able to deliver.'

Meanwhile Leon's first single When You Believe is still holding on at No 1.
