Kerry Katona asks mum-in-law to leave New Year party

Pregnant star has ruck with Marilyn Croft

Pregnant Kerry Katona asked her mum-in-law to leave her New Year party after the pair fall out.

Marilyn Croft – mum of the singer’s hubby Mark - is said to have offended Kerry by rowing with other guests.

‘Mark's mum started arguing with her family and all Kerry tried to do was stop and defuse the situation,’ confirms spokesperson Max Clifford.

‘She then started on Kerry who said that if she felt that way about her, she should leave the house.’

But pals claim Kerry, 27 – who is already said to have a fractious relationship with Marilyn – got into a ‘scuffle’.

‘Kerry hadn't spoken to her husband Mark's mum for ages and it's fair to say that the atmosphere between them isn't the best,’ a pal tells the Daily Mirror.

‘And things got worse as the evening went on and before long they were having words.

'Marilyn began shouting at her, saying, “Who do you think you are?” Kerry was having a go back and then a scuffle broke out.’

The incident is reported to have been filmed by camera crews for Kerry’s new MTV reality show.

But Kerry doesn’t want the footage to be aired.

‘Poor Kerry was mortified that her party had ended the way it did,' adds the source.

‘She just wants to show the public that she's a nice person. And the thing is, none of it was her fault. Her family are really important to her and she thought the party was a great opportunity for them all to get together.’
