Hayden Panettiere's mum thinks Milo Ventimiglia is cute

Heroes stars' relationship gets family approval

Hayden Panettiere's mother thoroughly approves of boyfriend and Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia.

The actor, 30, met 18-year-old Hayden's family in New York City before Christmas and got on well with them all.

'Hayden's mom adores Milo. She thinks he's so cute,' a family friend tells People.com. 'She tells her friends that he's her boyfriend. She's very proud.

'He's even met her grandparents. He fits in perfectly with the family. Milo jokes around with her little brother. They're buddies.'

Rumours that the couple were an item started when they were pictured together at the Emmys in September.

But Milo was still dodging questions about their relationship earlier this month.

'She and I are close friends,' was all he'd say. 'It's only natural that people are going to couple us together.'

But despite no official confirmation of their love affair, things seem to be going well and the 12-year age difference doesn't seem to be a problem.

'He's more proper and reserved, and she's still playful and very girly,' says the Panettiere family's pal.

'They're very comfortable around each other. He really takes care of her, even down to the little things like giving her a back massage and going with her to work.

'They're not afraid to show their affection around her family and their friends.'

Hayden's representative says: 'We do not respond to inquiries from the media regarding Ms. Panettiere's personal life.'
