Nicola Roberts: It's a boy's job to propose

Girls Aloud singer won’t be getting down on one knee

Is Nicola Roberts dropping a hint to fella Carl Davies to pop the question?

The Girls Aloud singer, 22, says it's up to a bloke's to ask, 'Will you marry me?'.

She says she’d never go down on one knee.

‘It's the boy's job,’ says Nic. ‘It's not a proper relationship if the boy doesn't propose.’

But Nicola must be pretty certain marriage is on the cards because she's already thinking about the style of her engagement ring.

And she's happy to pay for it herself because she’s made a mint from her music career.

‘We haven't started looking yet, but I like the idea of an antique ring,’ she tells More.

‘I'm so lucky that I can afford to pick a ring I really want, so I'd rather not have a ring from a store where there are 10 other rings exactly the same.’
