Paris Hilton's grandfather leaves 97 percent of fortune to charity

Hotel heiress's inheritance unlikely to be more than $5 million

Paris Hilton

Hilton heiress Paris might have to start living a little less lavishly.

Her 80-year-old billionaire grandfather Barron Hilton has decided that 97 percent of his massive fortune will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.

The charity - which helps the needy worldwide - was set up by Paris's greatgrandfather Condrad Hilton who also bequeathed 97 percent of his wealth to good causes.

'I am proud to follow my father's example,' says octogenarian Barron.

Paris, 26, who could have once expected a $100 million inheritance, is probably looking at $5 million now, calculates New York's Daily News.
