Casey Aldridge's uncle: Face up to your responsibilities, boy

He reckons Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy would be no 'big deal' if she wasn't famous

Casey Aldridge uncle Odus reckons the 18-year-old has to face up to adult responsibilities now his girlfriend Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, is pregnant.

'I'd like to tell Casey that he may not like it, but it's time for him to put on the man shoes,' the Baptist minister tells People.com.

Casey is planning to join his parents for Christmas in Tennessee and there will be one hell of a discussion going on over the Christmas turkey.

'I don't want to get in their family business,' says Odus, 'but there's going to be a baby involved.'

He concedes that making a shotgun marriage last won't be easy, but it's not the first time a couple of teenagers have got themselves into this situation - and it won't be the last.

'If this wasn't the Spears family – a famous family,' he says, 'no one would be making this kind of deal about it.'
