Heart-throb goes crazy for role in new Batman film
Saturday, 22 December 2007
Heath Ledger has undergone a drastic makeover for his role as The Joker in the new Batman film.
Heath, 28, takes up the coveted role, made famous by Jack Nicolson, in new movie The Dark Knight.
The actor dons the traditional face paint and suit but this time there's a distinct difference.
Far from Jack's loveable rogue, Heath portrays the joker as a 'psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy'.
The quirky smile is gone and The Joker sports a vicious scar, his make-up's a mess and his clothes shabby and torn - all in all creating quite a scary look.
The film is set to be released in July 2008
