Sir Paul McCartney in secret heart surgery op

Spokesperson confirms Macca is on the mend

Sir Paul McCartney underwent a secret heart operation last year.

Macca, 65, had a coronary angioplasty – a procedure which helps blood pump around the arteries.

‘It was a routine medical operation,’ confirmed his spokesperson last night.

Sir Paul was told to have the surgery after a check up at a Harley Street specialist.

‘Paul felt there was something not quite right and luckily sought professional help,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘It's not something that can be left to chance. Thankfully the operation went well and Paul feels great.’
