X Factor winner doesn't intend to try and date Hope's Emily
Saturday, 22 December 2007
Shock X Factor winner Leon Jackson wants female fans to leave him alone so that he can concentrate on building his career after his surprise X Factor victory.
Scots teenager Leon will undoubtedly have The X Factor's 3rd Christmas No 1 in a row with his debut single When You Believe - and he wants to concentrate on his music career.
Despite insiders on the show hinting at a possible romance between the 18-year-old and Hope singer Emily Biggs, Leon denies it.
'I don't think I'm going to get distracted with a lady companion,' he insists. 'There's no time for nothing like that. Any time you get off you just need to sleep.'
But the one woman who's uppermost in his thoughts is his mum, doctor's receptionist Wendy, 40.
'This will allow me to look after her,' he said after being given a £1 million record deal.
Even if Leon was interested in Emily, she doesn't appear to have the hots for him.
She fancies Justin Timberlake, men with rock hard six-packs - and, um, Rhydian.
When asked which of the finalists she'd go out with (in theory), 17-year-old Emily said: 'Rhydian's a real sweetheart and very charming.'
