Lee Ryan arrested on New Year's Eve

Ex-Blue singer alleged to have attacked taxi driver

Lee Ryan was arrested on New Year's Eve.

The ex-Blue singer, 24, was allegedly involved in an altercation with a taxi driver after a car accident at Oxted, Surrey.

Lee was on his way to a bash to see in 2008 when the incident is alleged to have taken place.

'Lee was going to a party and there was a bit of a crash – nothing big, but he lost his temper,' a pal claims in The Sun.

'A taxi driver got the brunt of it and then the law turned up and nicked Lee. He was stuck in a patrol car and driven to Reigate police station where he spent a couple of hours.

'It did not improve his mood and ruined his New Year's Eve.'

A Surrey police spokesman confirmed: 'A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault then bailed pending further inquiries.'

Lee Ryan's agent was unavailable for comment.
