Orlando Bloom outrages neighbours by painting house black

Actor infuriates locals by rebelling against tradition

Orlando Bloom has caused outrage in his home town by painting his £1.5 million mansion black.

The actor, 30 – who lives near Scarlett Johansson and Charlize Theron in Outpost Drive, LA – decided to rebel against tradition and go for a sombre tone.

And locals - who usually paint their homes in pale colours to reflect the sun - are baffled.

‘Most go for white,’ a neighbour tells The Sun, ‘but that’s Orlando – he’s an original guy. Maybe he’s been listening to Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones.

‘Charlize and Scarlett were a bit taken aback.’
