Cher meets daughter Chastity Bono for lunch

Once-feuding pair enjoy relaxed lunch in Hollywood

It's hard to believe that Chastity Bono is svelte Cher's child.

The slim 61-year-old, one of Hollywood's most surgically-enhanced stars, and Chastity – who is thought to weigh around 18st – could not cut more contrasting figures.

The pair have had their differences but are now getting along fine and were snapped together having lunch in the Hollywood sunshine.

'Cher and Chastity shared a really relaxed meal and both seemed on excellent form,' an onlooker tells the Daily Mail.

'They spent most of the hour laughing and chatting away like there was no tomorrow.'

Chastity, 37 - who came out as a lesbian in 1995 - is Cher's daughter from her marriage to Sonny Bono, the singer-turned politician who died in a skiing accident in 1998.

The writer and activist lost 2st on the US version of Celebrity Fat Club and says this pleased her mum.

'Cher is thrilled that I'm losing weight and getting healthier,' she says. 'What Mom cares about most is that I'm happy, healthy and enjoying my life.'
