Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue friends again

Actor insists they never fell out

Jason Donovan has denied that he's ever fallen out with Kylie Minogue – insisting that she's a 'mate'.

The pair, both 39, dated when they worked on Aussie soap Neighbours in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

They split when Kylie fell for INXS frontman Michael Hutchence [who died in 1997], leading to rumours that the pair had bickered.

But now Jason says that's rubbish – as proved by him appearing on The Kylie Show last month and last weekend's X Factor.

'It throws all those rumours that there was some form of problem between her and I,' he tells The Daily Express.

'Would I show her support in anything she does? Yes I would – she's a mate of mine.

'It also shows that we all have a bit of a sense of humour.'
