Emma Chawner joins other failed contestants for extraordinary finale
Monday, 17 December 2007
Disappointed X Factor contestant Emma Chawner almost came a cropper as she was carried on stage in Saturday's final.
The tubby teenager, 17, wore a handmade black and white dress and sat on a throne carried by 4 muscly men in skin-tight shorts.
As she joined the other failed auditonees for an out-of-tune rendition of One Moment In Time, one of the hunks lost his grip, causing Emma to hold onto the chair for dear life.
Judge Sharon Osbourne, 55, put her head in her hands and Dannii Minogue, 36, gawped in disbelief.
After the performance, judge Simon Cowell, 48, quipped: ‘You made me proud to be British.’
