Katie Melua has knocked Leona Lewis off the top of the singles charts, ended Bleeding Love’s 7-week reign.
The folk singer’s duet with the late Eva Cassidy – who died of cancer in 1996 - is a haunting version of What A Wonderful World.
It is 23-year-old Katie’s first No 1.
And her achievement is even more remarkable because the single has only been available from Tesco.
All proceeds go to the British Red Cross.
‘The people of Britain have once again shown how generous they are when it comes to helping other people,’ Katie tells the Daily Mirror.
Leona’s debut album Spirit remains at the top of the albums chart.
