Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has blasted Dannii Minogue, claiming the X Factor judge is not qualified to advise the show’s pop hopefuls.

The breakfast show presenter reckons Dannii – whose latest chart effort, Touch Me Like That, failed to make the Top 40 – is a music industry nobody.

‘Let’s be honest, Dannii’s opinion is as valid as yours or mine,’ the 33-year-old told his listeners on Thursday.

‘Who is she? She’s Kylie’s sister, she’s had a handful of Top 10 hits, she releases one song every year and a half – she’s not a big artist.

Chris’s outburst comes just days after Dannii’s rival judge Sharon Osbourne said the Aussie singer was only on the ITV show ‘because of her looks’.

‘Sharon’s been shooting her mouth off, but when she has a go at her, she’s right,’ Chris added.

Dannii, 36, is mentoring two X factor finalists – Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts – who are up against siblings Same Difference.
