Amy Winehouse to check into rehab after Christmas

Singer promises to sort herself out in time for Grammy Awards

Amy Winehouse has promised to check into rehab in January in a desperate bid to sort herself out for the Grammy Awards in LA.

The troubled star - who's been nominated for 6 US gongs - will reportedly be sent on a one-week rehab and detox treatment course in Israel, but wants to enjoy a festive knees-up before she commits herself.

‘Amy has agreed she will sort her life out in the new year,’ a pal reveals.

‘But she’s going to throw a party over Christmas – which will probably be a messy affair.’

The 24-year has struggled to stay positive following hubby Blake Fielder-Civil's arrest and insiders are worried she won't be fit enough to perform.

‘Things have got worse for Amy since Blake was jailed,’ the source tells The Sun.

‘She’s been taking more drugs that ever. It’s become like having a cup of tea. But she wants to give the performance of her life in LA.’

The awards ceremony will be held in February next year.
