Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber to star in Hollyoaks

Musical legend lands a cameo in Channel 4 teen soap

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber has landed a role in teen soap Hollyoaks.

The musical legend, 59, has been asked to appear in 3 episodes of the Channel 4 drama in January.

And he’s chuffed to bits, revealing that he’s always wanted to appear in a soap.

‘I have blurred fiction with fact all my life, but never before on national TV,’ he tells the Daily Mirror. ‘Bless Hollyoaks for asking me.’

Lord Andrew will play himself in a storyline involving character Summer Shaw – played by actress Summer Strallen.

She will be seen stalking him in a bid to find fame on the West End stage.

'Viewers have to tune in to find out if she does enough to impress him,' says Summer.
