Britney Spears faces grilling by Kevin Federline's lawyer

Singer must answer tough questions

Britney Spears is set to be quizzed today by Kevin Federine's lawyer about her past drug taking and alcohol abuse.

The singer, 26, will also be asked to explain her alleged failure to follow court orders.

Britney is battling ex-husband Kevin, 29, over custody of sons Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1.

'A deposition can be emotionally draining, because Kevin's lawyer can ask very personal questions about her relationship with her kids – and she'll be under oath,' LA family lawyer Lynn Soodik tells People.com.

Last month, Britney and Kevin agreed to share time with the children over Christmas, but a final custody arrangement remains unresolved.

Britney lost custody of her kids in October.
