Amy Winehouse's mum: I'll take care of you, darling

Janis Winehouse wants to feed her daughter up on chicken soup

Amy Winehouse's mum Janis is desperately worried about her talented daughter and wants her to come home so that she can get her fit.

The troubled singer, 24 - who has been snapped with white power up her nose this week - seems to be on a path to total self destruction.

Janis longs to scoop her up, put her in a hot bath and feed her a steaming bowl of chicken soup, but she knows Amy won't do anything she doesn't want to.

In an open letter in the News Of The Word, Janis writes to her little girl:

Dear Amy
You are still my baby and you always will be.

Blake, your husband, might not be my favourite person—you know that, Amy—but he's your choice and I would never say anything about him to hurt you.

You think you're strong enough to get through this on your own, darling, but you're not.

I'd like nothing better than to have you home and help you put on a bit of weight with some wholesome home cooking.

You are a brilliant talent, of course, and if you get yourself well, you'll be able to go on and fulfill your destiny.
