Kelly Brook attends her dad's funeral

Strictly Come Dancing star supports her mum at ceremony

Kelly Brook paid her last respects to her dad at his funeral today in a low key ceremony for close family and friends.

The Strictly Come Dancing star - dressed entirely in black apart from some purple tights – was joined by 200 relatives and well wishers at the ceremony in Medway Crematorium in Chatham.

But Kelly's future hubby Billy Zane was nowhere to be seen.

'People were surprised Billy was not here,' a mourner tells the Daily Mail.

'He has played a massive part in helping Kelly through the grieving process. She spent a long time trying to get her dad to accept Billy as the right man for her - and she was so dismayed that he would not have been able to see them get married.'

Kelly's dad Kenneth, 57, died after a long battle with lung cancer last month - and Kelly, 28, dropped out of the BBC talent contest a few days later.
