Enrique Iglesias wore red thong as Anna Kournikova's Christmas present

But Latin heartthrob not ready for marriage after dating 6 years

Enrique Iglesias reckons he dressed up in a special way for girlfriend Anna Kournikova on Christmas Day.

The unusual 'Spanish tradition' is the perfect outfit for roasting chestnuts.

'It's very typical for guys to wear red thongs at Christmas,' he told ITV's This Morning.

Sexy Enrique says tennis star Anna Kournikova, 26, is the only woman he's ever dated.

Most of his relationships have been based around lust.

'I'd say I've been in love about 10 times in my life, although those feelings usually turned out to be lust,' he says.

'Love is lust that lasts and develops into trust and friendship.

'You don't have to be in love with a woman to sleep with her but it's amazing when you get them both together.'

Enrique, 32, and Anna, 26, have been together since 2001 but he's still not ready for commitment.

'I can't imagine marriage, kids and all that,' he says. 'I think it's great and that'll come with time – but right now I'm not ready to start a family.'

Despite his attitude, Enrique says he doesn't want to be like his singer father Julio Iglesias, 64, who was famed as a Don Juan.

'I wouldn't say I've learnt anything about women from my father, although I did decide that sleeping with 3,000 women was not the way I wanted to live my life,' he admits.

'Anyway, I think a lot of his lothario image was an act and I don't know whether he was any happier than I am now.'
