Johnny Depp turns up to premiere in workman's boots

Actor steps on red carpet with mucky shoes

Johnny Depp made a fashion gaffe when he attended the premiere of his latest movie on Monday.

The actor, 44, stepped out wearing a pair of weathered and muddied boots.

Fans were shocked when Johnny - who was dressed in a dapper pin-stripe suit - dirtied the red carpet with the filthy shoes.

The Hollywood star was attending the premiere of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street in New York.

Maybe his footwear started out polished and shiny and he decided to take a short cut across a building site on his way to the do.
