Glamour model jets out to war-torn country to raise troops' morale

Danielle Lloyd made a secret trip to Iraq last night.

The glamour model, 23, is in the war-torn country to boost the spirits of British troops.

Dani hopes to deliver some Christmas cheer to 5,000 Army, Royal Navy and RAF personnel in Basra - despite the risk of being attacked.

'This is an amazing opportunity and I feel really privileged to be going to Iraq,' she told the Daily Star before setting off.

'I have to admit I am anxious about all the dangers involved. But I just hope my visit puts a few smiles on faces.'

Dani will be handing out gifts - including DVDs and watches - to the soldiers.

'Anything that reminds our boys of home is wonderful – and gifts from a Christmas cracker like Dani are sure to raise morale,' says an MoD spokesman.
