Marc Bannerman kissed Cerys Matthews on the cheek under the stars in the Australian jungle and she fell instantly in love.

'It was a loaded kiss, most definitely,' she says. 'That was the thunderbolt moment...'

'We wanted to do more, but it wasn't the right time or place.'

Chef and camp-mate John Burton Race reckons the pair did sneak off for a bit of lovin' but Cerys says they enjoyed nothing more than a hug because Marc was still involved with girlfriend, Sarah.

'We've got similar old-fashioned morals,' she explains. 'We didn't do anything physically wrong, but there WAS a mental connection.'

Singer Cerys, 38 - who has kicked a daily heroin habit - was devastated to find Marc, 34, wasn't waiting for her when she left the I'm A Celeb camp.

Instead he had left a tender note calling her 'little one'.

Then she spoke to him on the phone from the Versace hotel and they declared their true feelings.

'I never went into the jungle looking for love,' Cerys tells the News Of The World. 'I can't believe how quickly I fell for someone.

'But yes, I'm in love with Marc and I think he feels the same. I've found a soulmate and because I'm a hopeless romantic I want to be with him for ever.'
