Panto dame is crowned king of the jungle

Christopher Biggins has been crowned king of the jungle on I'm A Celebrity.

The pantomime dame beat fellow finalists Janice Dickinson and Jason 'J' Brown to be declared camp champ.

Biggins arrived late to the show after Malcolm McLaren bowed out at the last minute,

He was thrown straight in at the deep end and had to help former supermodel Janice survive a shower of creepy-crawlies during a live Bushtucker Trial.

The 59-year-old was tougher stuff than he looked. He also endured a night in a rat-infested hut with junglemate Anna Ryder Richardson and got wet and wild on a cyclone challenge.

After being crowned with a circle of twigs, Biggins wept as the fireworks went off around him and he hugged his partner.

The win will undoubtedly revive the comedy actor's career. His past roles include a prison inmate is sitcom Porridge and Roman emperor Nero in the BBC drama I, Claudius.
