Celine Dion to throw Spice Girls a party

She'll welcome them to Vancouver with Canadian-themed bash

Spice Girls and Celine Dion

Celine Dion is planning to throw the Spice Girls a party.

The Canadian singer, 39, wants to commemorate the start of the group's world tour on Sunday.

'Celine is so thrilled the Spice Girls have chosen her home country to kick off their tour that she's organising some plush hospitality to welcome them to Vancouver,' says a source.

Patriotic Celine's has organised a fantastic bash.

'Backstage at the The General Motors Place – the stadium where The Spice Girls will perform – Celine is arranging a huge soirée,' the source tells the Daily Star.

'There'll be traditional maple syrup pancakes and actors dressed up in Moose outfits. Canadian flags and red and white bunting will decorate the area.

'It will be a starry event with chocolate fountains and Cristal Champagne.'

Meanwhile, Mel B, 32, has revealed she was so excited about reforming the group that she wrote to her bandmates to tell them just that.

'I sent them all a little note, confiding what I love about them,' she tells the Daily Record. 'We have a cup of tea and talk about our kids and gossip. We're united.'
