Nicole Kidman reportedly wants David Beckham to star in her new movie.
She's keen for him to play a hunky builder in romantic epic Australia.
The actress, 40, is said to have persuaded director Baz Lurhmann it would be a brilliant idea to bring Becks, 32, on board.
David would need to show of his biceps and rippling muscles in a role as a worker from the outback.
'Nicole let slip that she thought David would be perfect to play a labourer in the film, and Baz agrees,' says a source.
'Apparently Baz thinks David would be great in Australia. He has all the perfect qualities for the role and is so humble, he would be brilliant.'
But Nicole is yet to approach the 32-year-old soccer star.
'At the moment, there are a lot of things up in the air regarding the film as it has already taken nine months to get this far,' the source tells the Daily Star.
'It’s only a small role, but everyone is hoping David will consider doing it.'
David has already had some film experience. He appeared in the 2005 movie Goal! as himself.
