ITV This Morning presenter loses 4st in 1 year

Fern Britton appears to have shed 4st in 12 months, turning up at the National TV Awards looking slimmer than ever.

The well-loved ITV presenter - who has always insisted her weight does not bother her - posed on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall last month wearing a halter-neck black gown.

The sexy dress showed off her dramatically smaller waist, slimmed-down hips and more chiselled face.

Hubby chef Phil Vickery, 46, reckons it's all down to her love for bike riding after completing a 250-mile charity ride last year.

'Fern's lost a lot of weight by cycling, walking the dog and not eating too much,' he reveals.

Though the 50-year-old has always described herself as a 'voluptuous size 16', she appears to have dropped from a size 22 to a 14.

Before her amazing transformation, Fern said: 'You can tell there are people watching me and thinking, "Oh the poor woman must go home and sob her heart out over her size." But it's just not true.'
