Ugly Betty stars burst into song

Ashley Jensen reveals cast members sing for their supper in a one-off special

Ugly Betty star Ashley Jenson has revealed that the cast are working on a one-off musical episode of the hit TV show.

The Scottish actress, 38, who plays seamstress Christina McKinney, is excited about the challenge.

But she says she isn’t as good as co-star Vanessa Williams, who has a multi-million pound R&B career.

‘Most people have a wee voice inside,’ Ashley tells The Sun. ‘It may not be Vanessa’s standard, but that’s part of the charm.’

Executive producer Marco Pennette has confirmed that the show is currently in development and will see the whole cast joining in with the singing and dancing.

‘We’ve been begging for a musical episode since episode one,’ says an excited America Ferrara.
