Mel B thanks fans, including 4 very special ones

Spice Girls post cheeky messages on their website

There was no shortage of fans who thought Melanie Brown should have won at Tuesday night’s Dancing with the Stars finale—and the Spice Girl took time on Wednesday to show her appreciation.

“I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to all of you Spice fans who voted for me and Maks [”Chmerkovskiy”],” Mel B, aka Scary Spice, writes on the official “Spice Girls Web site. “I didn’t ever think we’d make it this far!!!”

Brown thanked four VIP fans in particular—her fellow Spice Girls, who showed up in person for the finale. “I’ve had an absolute blast and the Girls coming to the show on Monday night was just amazing,” Brown writes.

She adds, sportingly: “Well done to Helio [”Castroneves”] for winning (Grrrr… just kidding, ha ha ha!).”

Geri Halliwell, aka Ginger Spice, congratulated Brown in a separate posting on the Girls’ site. “She SO should have won,” Halliwell writes. “I’m very disappointed. But we are all so incredibly proud of her. You’re a winner to us Mel!”

The DWTS season may be over, but one lucky Spice fan will have a small memento from Mel B.’s final performance to cherish forever—her false eyelashes. The Girls are holding a contest on the site to give them away.

The Spice Girls begin their big reunion tour in Vancouver on Sunday.
