SEE VIDEO Spice Girls’ single tanks

Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) fails to make it into the Top Ten

The Spice Girls

The Spice Girls’ comeback single has officially tanked.

Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) failed to make the Top Ten this weekend.

The girls - Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton – only charted at No 11.

It means that the song is the worst-selling charity single for Children In Need.

According to mid-week figures, the girls have now slipped to No 22.

Leona Lewis, 22, is enjoying her 5th week at the summit of the singles’ chart with Bleeding Love.

She kept Kylie Minogue and fellow X Factor winner Shayne Ward from the top.

2 Hearts dropped from No 4 to 8, while Shayne’s tune Breathless came in at No 6.

Leona’s debut album Spirit was also top of the album charts for the second week.
