Rodney Marsh: Marc and Cerys connected from the second they met

Ousted I'm A Celeb Star says he saw sparks fly

Former England footballer Rodney Marsh left the I'm A Celeb camp tonight, following chef John Burton Race who got the boot yesterday.

Before he arrived in the Australia jungle, Rodney, 63, declared: 'I think it might be a tinderbox with me. If someone starts talking complete b******* for a long time I might have to say something.'

And so he did, falling out with Janice Dickinson, Lynne Franks, Gemma Atkinson and Cerys Matthews who thought his manners appalling.

'I acted like a 5-year-old at times,' Rodney told Ant and Dec, 'but I make no apologies for that. What you see is what you get.'

Asked about the relationship that quickly developed between Marc Bannerman and Cerys, the grouchy ex-soccer star admitted that they'd really hit it off.

'From the second they met, they connected.'
