Cheryl Cole: I’m glad England lost the football

WAG pleased home team didn't qualify for Euro 2008

Cheryl Cole couldn’t be happier the England footy team lost to Croatia on Wednesday - because it means she can go on hols when she wants to.

The Girls Aloud singer, 24 – who’s married to striker Ashley Cole - says her husband’s devastated the squad are out of Euro 2008, so she can't act too delighted.

‘Ashley is gutted that they didn't qualify so it's not very good at home for me at the moment,’ she told Radio 1.

‘But I just tell him to get over it and move on because at least now we can go on holiday early.

‘That went down like a lead balloon, but I'm pleased.’
