Troubled star claims motherhood is her destiny

Amy Winehouse says she'd rather be a mother than a famous diva.

'I want to be a mum who looks after her kids. That's my destiny,' she says.

The jazz diva, 24, who has admitted to problems with drugs, alcohol, self-harm and bulimia, doesn't want to sing for the rest of her life.

'I know that I have talent but I wasn't born to do this for ever and ever,' she tells Stern.

'I've never knocked on anyone's door and said, "Make me famous, please!" I was discovered.'

Amy downed a cocktail of vodka, Bailey's, Southern Comfort and banana liquer before her Hamburg gig, according to the German magazine.
