Kylie Minogue: I'm now curvy Kylie

Singer says weight gain has been hard to deal with

Kylie Minogue has revealed that the weight she put on as a result of her cancer treatment was difficult to accept at first.

'It was hard to confront, I have to say,' admits the 39-year-old star.

'I lost a lot of weight and then I put on a lot of weight. So for someone who's been pretty much always the same, it was a shock.'

Despite undergoing numerous image changes during her 25 years in the limelight, the pint-sized pop star has always been famed for her tiny figure.

But Kylie says she has come to accept the changes in her body since being diagnosed with breast cancer two and a half years ago.

'The thing that I've latched onto is that you don't go back to normal,' she tells You magazine.

'You go back to the new normal. I'm not as scrawny. Curvy Kylie. That's the new one, isn't it?'

And the star says that people have commented on her new curves.

'I definitely look different to before,' she admits. 'My face is fuller, but apparently I look a lot healthier.'
