Lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline faced off in a closed-door hearing Monday to hammer out a holiday visitation schedule for their children.
Currently, Spears only has twice-weekly access to her sons, Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1, including an overnight. No details of the visitation schedule were immediately revealed.
During Thanksgiving, Spears took the boys to the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills for a brunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The singer dropped them at Federline's home later that afternoon.
Also at issue in court Monday was the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services’ request for access to the former couple's case file – in particular documents, which have been redacted.
A lawyer for the county was present in the courtroom, and requested that media be removed before he addressed the court. Neither Spears nor Federline was present.
The couple's next scheduled hearing is set for Jan. 23.
