Kylie Minogue announces European tour

She’ll kick of 24-date set in May 2008

Kylie Minogue has announced a European tour for 2008.

The 24-date tour - entitled KylieX2008 - kicks off in Paris on 6 May.

Kylie will perform in Germany, Finland and Sweden, before coming to the UK in June.

And she's promised a bumper show, with a 'fresh, exhilarating and innovative' set.

'The tour will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new,' she tells BBC Entertainment.

Last month, it was claimed that Kylie, 39, had had to cancel plans for a new world tour on the orders of her doctor. But she later denied that any dates had been set.

The pop princess's Showgirl tour was halted when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.

Meanwhile, Kylie is also being lined-up to headline Glastonbury, reports the Daily Mirror.

She has left a gap in her tour over most of the festival’s weekend in June 2008 – which has sparked rumours that she’ll be playing a special set.
