Cerys Matthews: I'm gutted Marc didn't come to meet me

Singer leaves I'm A Celeb camp to find love rat isn't there

Cerys Matthews became the 8th person to be evicted from the I'm A Celeb jungle camp tonight.

She was very excited to hear she'd lost the vote-off with J from 5ive, and was obviously hoping someone special had arrived back in Australia to meet her.

Ant and Dec played clips from the show showing her and Marc Bannerman, 34, canoodling, but then had to break the news that he wasn't waiting because he had to 'sort things out' in London.

There wasn't even a video message from the ex-EastEnder who'd called her 'Darling' last week and whispered tenderly, 'Glad you're here, love, I really am.'

Cerys's smile dropped and she looked devastated before admitting, 'I'm a bit gutted he's not here really.'

She had to blink back a few tears.

The mum-of-two, 38, said she was dying to spend time with her kids and was glad to be going to a hotel because a rat had bitten Janice Dickinson last night.

Forget the rodent Down Under, Cerys, you need to watch out for a much bigger black-haired specimen...
