SEE VIDEO Michael Flatley makes TV comeback

Riverdance star back after beating mystery illness

Michael Flatley made his long-anticipated TV comeback on Tuesday after fighting a mystery illness.

The Riverdance star appeared on Dancing With The Stars, the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Lord Of The Dance, 49, was dressed as an aircraft pilot for a 3-minute routine, flanked by several other uniformed dancers.

His performance won him a standing ovation. And Michael seemed overjoyed – he punched the air on completing the routine.

Last November he was taken ill with a virus that, at the time, doctors thought would mean he could never dance again. But he's made an astonishing recovery now.

‘It was amazing to see Michael back on form,’ a source tells The Sun.

Meanwhile, Dancing With The Stars contestant Mel B, 32, has made it through to the finals of the US show and is favourite to win.
