Nicole Kidman: I 'm so proud of Keith

Actress says she and her husband hate to be apart

Nicole Kidman says she is determined to make her marriage to Keith Urban work.

The Aussie actress - who wed the country music star in June last year - stood by her man when he had a much publicised stint in rehab less than 4 months into their marriage.

'It's still very, very raw,' she says. 'It wasn't how you'd dream of starting out and it was hard to come to terms with.

'Keith speaks about it more easily than I do. But I am so proud of him and today we are both far stronger.'

The experience has definitely strengthened the 40-year-olds' bond - despite both having hectic careers, Nicole says they hate to be separated for more than two weeks.

'Between us, we have decided that we should never be apart any longer than 17 days, which I think is the longest we've gone without seeing each other,' she tells the Sunday Express.

'We are very much in love and if it shows that's great.'
